La brand-list c'è. Il contest c'è. Il calendario eventi c'è. Finalmente alla Triennale tutto è pronto per la sesta edizione di Esxence ed anche quest'anno il menù si conferma ricco sia per chi è curioso di scoprire le novità che troveremo nei negozi prossimamente che per chi ha fame di cultura olfattiva.
Oltre ad ospitare il contest
The Art of the Scent, il tempio minanese del design offrirà i suoi spazi a vari eventi. Uno sguardo particolare sarà rivolto al medioriente grazie al workshop di
Alireza Khazal Artistic Perfumery in Middle East, alla lecture di
Nicola Pozzani Smells of Saudi Arabia e alla presentazione dell'
Ufficio Turistico dell'Oman Fragrances and Myths of Arabia Felix.
Si riconferma anche la partecipazione dell'
Osmothèque con la consueta selezione di chicche dal passato e con una conferenza imperdibile:

La chimica come fonte di creatività in profumeria.
Esxence renderà omaggio a
Michael Edwards per il trentennio del suo
Fragrances of the world a cui seguirà anche un altro omaggio a
Sandrine Videault, allieva di Edmond Roudnitska che ci ha lasciati giovanissima l'anno scorso. Proprio ai capolavori di
Edmond Roudnitska è dedicato l'
Aperitivo profumato multisensoriale di
Marika Vecchiattini.
Pietra miliare fra gli eventi di Esxence restano gli incontri di
Mouillettes&Co che in
Olf'Evolution darà la possibilità di testare le proprie abilità e di scoprire le materie e le tendenze olfattive più recenti.

Aside guesting the contest
The Art of the Scent, the minanese temple of design will give space to several events. A special focus will be put on the Middle East thanks to
Alireza Khazal's workshop
Artistic Perfumery in Middle East, to
Nicola Pozzani's lecture about the
Smells of Saudi Arabia and to the
Oman Tourism Office introducing the
Fragrances and Myths of Arabia Felix.
The usual participation of the
Osmothèque in addition to the yearly selection of gems from the past will bring to Milan a lecture that can't be missed:

Esxence will pay hommage to
Michael Edwards in the 30th anniversary of his
Fragrances of the world followed by another tribute to
Sandrine Videault, pupil of Edmond Roudnitska that passed away too soon the last year. To the masterpieces created by
Edmond Roudnitska is dedicated the polysensorial
Perfumed Cocktail led by
Marika Vecchiattini.
A staple amont Esxence events are the
Mouillettes&Co workshops that with
Olf'Evolution will give you the chance to test your skills and discover the latest olfactory trends and raw materials.

Durante l'ultima edizione di Esxence ho avuto il piacere di parlare con Mustafa Sabbagh a proposito della sua fotografia e del suo rapporto con l'universo olfattivo. Quello che più mi è piaciuto di Mustafa è l'approccio nello scrutare il corpo, la superficie ed il colore che sembra applicare a tutte le esperienze sensoriali in una ricerca continua di questo nuovo modo di intelligere la realtà. Questo cambio di prospettiva si fa scambio di prospettiva fra le arti in HYPERÆSTHESIA - Doppia personale di Mustafa Sabbagh e Milena Altini, un evento multisensoriale concepito da Spazio Bernardelli e nu_be perfume che vi consiglio di non perdere se siete a Mantova.
