I love riddles and puzzle games and I also like blind sniffs. I often play with friends to see the impressions coming out in blind sniffs. So I'd like to propose you a nice game that came to my mind, a kind of particular blind sniff.
Do you have in mind what's a chinese roulette? A player thinks to a parsonality for example and other players have to guess who's him just making questions like "If it'd be a colour what it would be?".
Taking inspiration from this game I thought about a Blind Sniff Roulette, in other words a reverse chinese roulette where participants will receive three mysterious vials tagged with a number. Then I will unveil a list of seven questions "If it'd be..." to answer as I wouldn't now anything about the scents. You will have to explain the reasons of your replies basing on the notes, the evolution and anyway on every impression and idea the fragrance suggested you. The result will be an unusual and funny review made by synaestesia with the olfactory world.
You will have a week to try the scents and reply to the seven "If it'd be" that I later will post here disclosing the name of the fragrances. Of course who wants is free to guess them also but it's not the goal of the game that instead is to let yourself express and see what kind of curious associations fragrances conjure up.
Participating is easy, just reply to this post. Then I will choose by lot the five lucky participants that I will reveal on Christmas Eve.

MAD et LEN, the search for lost time
Taking a walk at Pitti Fragranze through all that stands dedicated to perfumes for themselves or at most to body care, often the attention gets hogged and the risk is to forget there are also ambiance perfumes.
In western countries scenting themselves is in our culture as a sign of wellness since ever, a way to express themselves or as a reward to themselves, to get notives or to underline our presence. On the contrary in the eastern countries by cultural matter they use to scent the house where people live rather than scenting themselves even if nowadays the cultural mix has spread everywhere both approaches.
In particular I like to underline chilling moments at home with ambiance perfumes creating a certain atmosphere, not to obstrusive but that give a certain warmth like incense and candles. These latter I use them above all in winter and even more in this period: just lighting one makes instanty Christmas time.

Take an evening at dinner with tonka beans
Take the coming holidays air with its gluttonies, take an aesthete affected by incurable perfumes mania that's also passionate about good food and cooking since ever, give him a handful of tonka beans and the trick is done.
Well, yes, another passion of mines since ever has always been cooking and the same curiosity in experimenting with fragrances leads me often also among the cookers to try particular matchings and new stimuli. By chance no other sense is close to olfactory sense as taste is: often even before tasting with the mouth and tongue, we taste with the nose the aroma of food before eating it and again once in the mouth, we smell it from inside. For example the precious truffle, you can taste it above all with your nose as it's enough to use a tin bit of it to give everything it touches its powerful aroma. Another example: have you ever guessed why with a cold you cannot taste foods? It's your closed nose fault and not for sure because of your taste buds. according to various reserces in fact it seems that 70-75% of what we call taste actually is given by inner olfactory sense, in other words by olfactory receptors in the inner nasal cavities close to the mouth. The remaining 25% is than completed by taste buds that are able to perceive only sweet, salty, bitter and sour.
